Bi-Monthly Program Outreach Meeting (November 2024) – Clark/Stacy Witbeck Amtrak FDT Project Website

Program Background: Existing tunnel is over 150 Years old… Nearly as old as Druid Hill Park! The tunnel carries 9 million MARC & Amtrak passengers per year on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) (MARC’s Penn Line).

On November 18, 2024 (Virtual), and November 20, 2024 (In-person open house), CSW participated in the Amtrak Frederick Douglass Bi-Monthly program outreach meetings. The presentation agenda included:

Package B includes construction work located in the southern approach to the new tunnels, including the corridor from the West Baltimore MARC Station to the tunnel portals. Work also includes new structures to accommodate new track alignment and maintain grade separations to the street network and adjoining properties. In addition, the Package B will construct a new West Baltimore MARC station.
