Tri-Annual Program Outreach Meeting (April 2026)
Program Background: Existing tunnel is over 150 Years old… Nearly as old as Druid Hill Park! The tunnel carries 9 million MARC & Amtrak passengers per year on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) (MARC’s Penn Line).
On April 27, 2026 (Virtual 6:00 – 7:30 PM), and April 29, 2026 (In-person open house 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Carver Vocational Technical High School, 2201 Presstman St, Baltimore, MD 21216, CSW participated in the Amtrak B&P Tunnel Replacement Program, featuring the new Frederick Douglass Tunnel, tri-annual program outreach meetings. Package B includes construction work located in the southern approach to the new tunnels, including the corridor from the West Baltimore MARC Station to the tunnel portals. Work also includes new structures to accommodate new track alignment and maintain grade separations to the street network and adjoining properties. In addition, the Package B will construct a new West Baltimore MARC station.
